Palazzo Zazzo

28 June, 2012

Top: Paper Crane// Sunnies: Karen Walker (find them here)// Necklace & Bangle: Forever 21// Wrislet: C. Madeleine's (vintage)// Pants: Atikshop Brickell// Shoes: Zara

these Palazzo pants caught my eye from the start at my favorite boutique in Brickell - Atikshop, they have amazing stuff at reasonable prices and they are having a semi-annual sale now so run who knows what will be left. When I tried the pants on they fit just right and since I didn't own any Palazzo pants since I was in 10th grade where I had a pair that I wore out till they did not fit any more I had to have them. The best part about these pants is that they are transitional, where you can take them from summer to fall. That means it is a great investement piece, plus you can wear them to work as well. I wore this outfit to the Touch Boutique - Touch Style Challenge on June 7, 2012 (see a recap here). I love these pants, can't wait to find more ways to style them.

in other news, I am excited but very nervous for tonight's Fashion Bloggers Do It Better - Summer Edition event (see info here). It will be my first time walking a runway of any sort and I am just praying I come out alive. I hope to see you there and if you have TWITTER and are going to be tweeting about the event make sure you hashtag #FBDIB2. See you tonight.

Summer Cravings

26 June, 2012

heat, humidity, desires to walk around in a swim suit and a hose all day is something we all face in Miami...this heat is not for the faint-hearted. But what is best about summer is that we get to soak in our beautiful beaches and do cook-outs that bring friends and family together. I rounded up a few of my favorite recipes I have pinned on Pinterest, what I enjoy most about summer cooking is that it is easy, light, and with tons of juicy fruits. I love fruits, and having them pop-up in dishes unexpectedly is the best part for me. I can't wait to try these recipes with a bit of my own twist to it. Hope this served for a good idea for an upcoming gathering or just to change dinner a bit. To get the recipes just click on the description right below the photo.

Have a lovely Tuesday, until next time.

City Tropics

Blouse: W118 by Walter Baker (via Gilt)// Necklaces: Belargo (disc, gift from my love), unknown brand (believe, gift from my mother)// Skirt & Shoes: Zara

it was a slow week, but that is always welcomed, am I right? nothing more than having nothing to do other than your normal work load. For this shoot, the wind was not cooperating with my hair but no problem I just pretend I am Gisele Bundchen or something...I see you laughing, I laugh too. I am no model by all  means but it's fun to pretend to be one once in a while right? don't lie you know you do it too. This skirt is probably one of the best skirts I've owned, I love the faux leather and it vamps up any top, really any top. And this top is a favorite I bought it through Gilt, yes I love Gilt one of my main online shops. You see the second photo, I am beginning to feel the day's burden and well I was ready to take a nap, weirdly enough I really liked that photo so I decided to include it.

Enough with my talking, hope you have an adventurous weekend and please come back to visit me.

Three Floor Fashion

12 June, 2012

I found this brand from the UK called Three Floor last night and yeah I did about four cart wheels, well actually they were in my head...part of my imagination, really. If it's one thing I have struggled to do my whole life is a cart wheel, wait a minute I knew how to do them when I was 8 years old. That was a short-lived joyful experience but back to the subject, as I was saying this line is pretty freaking rad and I want to have every single piece they have..not joking. I chose a few looks but everything was spectacular. So what is a girl to do, just stare at these pretty pictures and hope that I can let go of my purse strings and splurge a bit...just for a bit. The yellow top on the third photo is my absolute favorite and I can't wait to purchase it. They have sheer paneling which is very in at the moment, the ever-so popular color blocking method and a cargo jacket that I need for this Fall. Yes you can buy online and they have international shipping for all of us here in the states.

Please tell me you share the same sensibility and that you love them too. Thoughts? Happy I introduced you to true love? I want to hear from you, leave me a comment below.

What a floral

05 June, 2012

Chambray shirt: Forever 21// Sunnies: 70's Vintage Ray-Bans (belonged to uncle)// Necklaces: Forever 21, Lydell NYC (Loehmanns)// Bracelets: N&K Designs, My own DIY// Bag: Urban Expressions (gift from friend)// Pants: Zara// Shoes: Beverly Feldman (find them here)

wore this to the H&M Press Preview last Thursday, I put it together at the last minute and I was pleasantly surprised at the results. So much so that I think I want to wear this outfit for the rest of the year, kidding or not. Chambray shirts are more versatile than people think, if you are creative enough you can find endless possibilities. People often ask me how I can put things together, and my response is simple "I play." Play around with your garments and you will get the hang of it, you will never know what looks best if you don't pair them together, so do it your in the comfort of your own home or in some cases a fitting room anyway. By the way, my shoes have been such a hit with people every time I wear them I am bound to get a compliment (just thought I shall share useless information). I bought these lovely Beverly Feldmans at Loehmanns but they don't have them online at least, so I gave you an alternate...be happy.

Enough talking enjoy the photos, and have a lovely Tuesday.

On my mind

03 June, 2012

my instagram photo gave you a preview - these adorable Limited Edition Cynthia Rowly Band-Aids were in that package - one a box of your own click here.

I know frivolous buy those Band-Aids but I couldn't resist, they were to cute to pass. That was just one small highlight of my week/end. As all of you probably know by now is that H&M opened up a pop-up shop in Miami Beach to anticipate the opening of the real store where once stood the Lincoln Theater. I heard through a friend that it was opening up Friday on Wednesday...How I didn't know ahead of time, baffles me but I am always in my own world anyway so go figures. I ended up going to the Press Preview the day before it opened to the public, I was giddy. Thursday comes around and I find myself in a blissful state of mind, I have been waiting for an H&M to come to Miami since the dinosaurs, kidding but close. I even emailed corporate long before I was a blogger to advice them that they needed to get their butts down here, Miami? come on we all know H&M would not fail here. They told me when they responded that they were scooping out "prime" location for the store and that they definitely had it in their future plans....years later and we are here one step closer to MADNESS. If you didn't know the line outside H&M Friday was two-hours long, bananas. The one downside of the Press Preview is that you couldn't buy anything, no one was happy that.

Ok enough about H&M, last night I went to the Priscilla Jade Lingerie's Birthday Suit Launch Party and it was fabulous, her Birthday Suit was a showstopper thats for sure. She had a Sweets station that was adorable and the location was stunning - in love with Baoli Miami. I would like to have some type of event there in the future, in their secret garden. So happy that Priscilla had a successful event, she knows how to make pretty sexy lingerie. Don't forget I am hosting a giveaway of the Birthday Suit here.

Stay tuned for more photos on my facebook page.
