we all know that all of this baby planning and preparation is a bit overwhelming, I know that for us it has been just a bit, not as much as I expected but I do have my days that I think to myself "am I done? am I missing anything? how do I know what else I need or how much of it I will need?" all those questions have gone through my head. The good news is that we all in some way or another have a support system that has already been through the journey and can provide an immense amount of guidance and with that alone, you feel just a little better and less nervous. For the most part, I was able to source the things I needed on my own, by doing a lot of research and reading tons of reviews, sometimes to the point of exhaustion, but when I had any doubt or felt I was missing something that is when I would reach out to my family and friends, they were all such great help.
One challenge for us, was finding things that were organic and eco-friendly, the hubby and I have been trying to make a conscious effort to live with less harmful chemicals and leaving less of a footprint on this earth for a few years now, so naturally we wanted that for our baby. We tried our best to make everything be organic and eco-friendly, but not everything on our list ended up being so, and we are ok with it. Anyway, I wanted to provide some guidance for any mom-to-be's out there that are looking for it, so here are a few of the most important things you will need:
| BATH TIME |
4moms | Infant Tube
Puracy Natural | Organic Baby Care Gift Set
Brooklyn Bamboo | Baby Washcloth Wipes
(they are so soft)
Brooklyn Bamboo | Baby Hooded Towel
(same with this towel, bamboo cotton makes everything so soft)
Summer Infant | Comfy Bath Sponge
| DIAPER TIME |
Andy Pandy | Bamboo Disposable Diapers
DermaH2O Waterwipes | Wipes
Ubbi | Steel Diaper Pail
Ubbi | Plastic Bags
(for diaper pail)
| FEEDING TIME |
My Brest Friend | Breastfeeding Pillow
(this is a highly recommended item)
Lansinoh | Double Electric Breast Pump
Lansinoh | Breastfeeding Storage Bags
Lansinoh | Breastfeeding Salve
Baybe Care | Washable Nature Organic Cotton Nursing Pads
Natursutten | Glass Baby Bottles
Natursutten | BPA Free Natural Rubber Pacifier
| OTHER |
Cybex | Aton Infant Seat
FridaBaby | Nasal Aspirator
(looks funky but I've been told is the best)
Piyo Piyo | Baby Nail Scissors
(read this is the easiest to cut nails)
Hello Baby | Wireless Video Baby Monitor
(really good for the price range)
These are just a few of the most important things I believe you should have on your baby registry, any veteran moms out there that feel I left something out, please chime in, would love to hear from you. There are of course other things, like swaddle blankets, onesies, mittens, burp blankets and such that I think for the most part soon to be moms are aware of that there is no need to mention. Hope that this list helps you in anyway, I know how overwhelming it can be, and if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or email me, would love to help out in anyway.
