Tangerine Eyes

01 August, 2013

it's been a while, since I first saw you (lyrics from Stained), that is exactly the feeling I am having right now with you all. I have been eagerly waiting to have the time to shoot some outfit posts for you, something, something at least. This outfit post was a very casual one, as it was shot on my way to do some grocery shopping at the REWE [how I have been told it is pronounced is REH VAH] tried to find it on the web and it gave me different ways of pronouncing it so I guess lets just stay with mine for now, until I speak to a German and clarify the issue. Let me just say this quickly, the REWE is amazing, I am completely in love with this chain of supermarkets as it carries plenty of wonderful, yummy stuff that I am looking forward to try. It's a cross-over between a Publix (for my Floridians) and a Whole Foods. But I also have tons of local weekly markets around the area that sell tons of fresh foods and vegetables. OK enough with my market talk, I will give you a more in-depth story of how it has been in Frankfurt thus far possibly next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

What do you think of my very bright and colorful floral pants? I sure brought Miami to Germany as most people here I have noticed dress in muted colors. I got a lot of stares wearing these, not sure if they were good or bad but I am going to assume they were all good...I want to believe I am influencing some people here (wink). Hope you enjoy this and you will be seeing more of me in coming weeks, stay with me, don't leave me (begging hands in place).

Escape Miami x Peroni Italy

19 July, 2013

Guten Tag everyone, it's been a few days since I post anything on the blog. I apologize for the lack of creativeness, moving across the country is a big task and I have had little time to be fun. But don't worry, I will be posting regularly once I get full access to Internet at home and I am just a little bit more acquainted with the city of Frankfurt. Anyway, I don't know if you remember that I posted a behind the scenes picture on Instagram a couple weeks back of a project that I was working on with Escape Miami Style Lounge and Peroni Italy, well here is the sneak preview of the photos. There will be a chic Photo Installation on Saturday July 20, 2013 at the Sagamore Hotel during the biggest week in Miami, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2013 and will feature 30 of Miami's Style Bloggers. This will be the first-ever Swim Week street-style photo installation called "Summer Crush." Most events during Swim Week are closed off to the public, this one is not, so you get to enjoy and take part in all the fun, there will be an informal modeling presentation, DIY jewelry station, and spa and beauty treatments. This year I will not be covering Swim week (sad face) due to my recent move, but I will live vicariously through my blogger girls back in Miami and hopefully get to cover it next year so that my new German friends can see what all the fun is about back home (wink).

If you would like to attend you must rsvp to escapemiamirsvp@krepspr.com, must be 21 and older to attend. Discounted valet parking available. Hope you have fun for me and if you go, use these hashtags #sagamoreswimweek, #peronistyle, #escapemiami.

|WEARING| H&M robe, one-piece swimsuit and sunnies, Zara lucite minaudiere, Via Spiga shoes (also seen here and here)

My routine does not change much during summer, fall or winter that is only because Miami is year-round hot and humid. But I do change a few things here and there, for example in summer I use a talc-free finishing veil for my t-zone area to avoid oil and shine. I am also a person of habit and when I find a product that works wonders on my skin I don't change it. A few months back I decided to see what the BB cream craze was about so I took myself to Sephora and took me about an hour to decide which one I was going to try. I tried  Dr. Brandt Flexitone BB cream before I fell head over heels for the one I have been using for a few months now and that is my Too Faced BB cream, it has improved my skin so much and I love the chic luminous effect that it gives me. If I want extra glow to my face I apply a bit of the Charlotte Ronson A Summer's Kiss, it is just the right amount of glow to the face and body. For my lips, I am loving the Revlon lip balm stains because they are the easiest things to apply and they hydrate my lips so well, but for a little nostalgic feel I use my roll-on lip gloss that a good friend of mine brought all the way from Hawaii, brought back so many childhood memories. For my eyes, I use the best mascara that I have found as of yet, the L'Oreal Telescopic, it really extends my lashes like no other, you must try it. I also use just a bit of the Benefits mascara for extra thickness when I want my lashes really black. As you can see, I am not very high-maintenance when it comes to my beauty routine, I do want to step it up a bit on the skincare department.

I have a special treat for you all, Jergen's has been so gracious to give five lucky readers a Jergen's Crema. Yes five of you will win one of the three different scents from the Crema collection. I fell in love when i was introduced to it by Daniela Ramirez of Nany's Klozet when she hosted a Jergen's Crema Party (see post here). My favorite scent is the Deep-Conditioning Oatmeal, but to be honest all three of them are so good you will want to swim in it. I am a big advocate of applying cream everyday because it helps your skin keep hydrated, firm and extremely soft. I get compliments all the time due to the softness of my skin, especially my arms.
